Sun, wind, a bit of seaweed -- and lots of boats to enjoy on the water at Matapeake. There were more than a hundred wooden boats on the beach. (Click on images to enlarge.)

With a lovely sailing breeze, the sailing craft stayed in motion all day.  Here the Outrigger Junior and the Eastport Pram both test their load capacities.

CLC's first non-boat, the Teardrop Camper, was on hand both days.

The Teardrop Camper hosted a crowd all weekend.

Craig G. brought his newly built PocketShip all of the way from Nashville and moored it off the beach.  Great work!

Jeff W. brought his class-built and nicely finished Expedition Wherry to show off, too.

We built a new demo-model Skerry last year, fitting it with two popular options:  a balanced-lug rig and spacered inwales.  It stayed in motion all day.

The CLC SailRig sliced through the fleet all day.

John's Ultralight Dinghy was a surprise hit.  We got a huge amount of positive feedback.

John built the 6-foot, 40-pound dinghy to serve as a tender for his family.  It had to be light enough for an easy solo lift onto a car. In spite of its diminutive size, it rows amazingly well and carries an impressive payload.

CLC's Outrigger Junior was joined by a newly completed example, built by David P.  Great to have two of them sailing together!

Model boat building with the kids was as popular as ever.

Our Nautiraid folding kayaks were also a really popular.  They were hardly ever ashore.

For boats that you can check as luggage, the Nautiraids are really good-looking.  And they handle great, too.

Geoff Kerr skippered PocketShip hull #1 all day, giving rides off the beach.  Geoff built this boat for us in 2008.  Freshly painted this spring and sporting a new suit of sails, the boat is looking especially shiny.

Geoff also built the prototype Peeler Skiff, which was on hand to herd boats and function as a landing platform for PocketShip rides.

Laszlo, well known to CLC Builders Forum readers, is the new owner of Faering Cruiser #1.  It was great having his boat around!  Here, Laszlo heads back to the ramp with fast-moving squalls to windward.
