Another great swing through the Sunshine State is in the books. Wow. Despite some gray skies and one logistical hiccup, this was our biggest and best Florida trip ever.

First: A stop in Miami on February 15, where we found ourselves competing for space with an Olympic classes regatta but were lucky to be able to share a beach with some other paddlers.

Kevin Murray and Beverly McCoy brought their Shearwater 16 along to join the CLC armada.

Then it was time to move along. We headed for St. Petersburg to wait out a few days in the sunshine (while Annapolis was cold and snowy) before meeting record numbers of folks at Gandy Beach on February 22. In the rain, too!

St. Pete beach
Skies cleared a bit that afternoon and we had a great time with everyone.

We loaded up the rig again and headed across the state to our final stop at Kelly Park on Merritt Island the next day. Another fabulous day, with lots of people bringing their own boats to join the fun, too.

Ummmm, friends of John's? Nope, they were the Race Committee for the multihull regatta just up the beach.

Thanks, everyone! We really had a wonderful time. See you next year.
