Congrats to Eric Z. of Pompano Beach, Florida, whose photo was voted the best of 2017 in our annual contest!

Eric wins a $1000 CLC gift card.

Each month we ask you to send us your best photos of Chesapeake Light Craft designs, and you've sent us hundreds of amazing shots.

Each month we ask you to vote on your favorites, and the top three (or sometimes four, in case of a tie) are put into the running for the overall annual winner.

Finally, during January, you voted for your favorite of the monthly winners. It was a hard-fought race this year with so many terrific images, but the votes are in and here are the results. (Click images to enlarge.)

With so many excellent photos in the final lineup for year-end voting, we want to share some of the other top finishers, like this fun shot of David K's Mill Creek 16.5 Hybrid -- his first boatbuilding project.

Virginia J's image of a Chester Yawl afloat on the crystal water of Pleasant Pond, Maine, was also a strong contender, along with Davis L's evocative black-and-white view of his Jimmy Skiff's maiden voyage.

Charles R's view of his wife and dog celebrating a day in his Wood Duck 12 was popular, too, along with David C's Chesapeake 16 pulled up on a rocky beach.

Jim R's portrait of his Annapolis Wherry, Joel A's image of his kids enjoying a sail in his Mill Creek 16.5, and Paul L's Petrel at sunset also were among the favorites

And how about this view of Len K's Wood Duck 12 Hybrid amongst the water lilies sent in by Deva M? It earned a hefty number of votes, too, along with Richard S's snow-capped mountains as backdrop to his Chesapeake 17LT Hybrid.

John W's Guillemot bow with a study of interesting textures and Mike H's shot of his daughter's fishing expedition in her Wood Duckling also earned substantial numbers of votes.
