I think it depends on mac or pc, which os and which machine. I have a unibody macbook (snowleopard) with the clickable multitouch pad (no buttons). What I have to do is go to the picture (in my case on my picasa site), 2 finger click on it (same as right click, I think) select 'copy image", pull up the little tree icon (below) and paste (command V). Then I select the size (400x300 works well). If I can see the image, then I know it has worked, then I click post message.

with win7 I get a blank box pop up.  Something is wrong here. Can anyone with Win 7  post pics?

ok...win7 here... go to the picture (picasa again), right click on the picture. Select properties, right click on image address, select 'select all' . right click on highlighted address and left click 'copy'. Then paste in the 'tree' (image box below) and paste in the 'image address box'

No can do.  I've done it before in XP but no longer get the same box to pop up.  I get a blank box.  I'll just settle for putting in a link as I did above.

It looks to me that Chris J had the best solution, though it would have been nice to upload the photo from my computer, and not have to use another server.
