Building the CLC RC Independence-sail question
The CLC ,manual says to drill 1/16" holes in the aft side of mast, beginning 4 inches from top of mast, then every 6 inches thereafter for nine holes in all, for notching the mainsail luff pockets where cotter pins are placed to run the wire from top to bottom . The problem is that the drawings show the same holes drilled for the 9 cotter pins 3 1/2" from the top of the mast and then every 6 inches, which puts the luff pockets differently than if following the manual. The drawing of the mainsail shows the same pattern as the mast on the drawing. So which is correct? Manual or drawings??? CLC care to comment? Thanks, Bob H.

RE: Building the CLC RC Independence-sail question
Thanks Matt; I assume the holes I already drilled according to the manual don't have to be filled with epoxy? I thought I was done with epoxy for this project. I haven't epoxied the mast; only painting it with lots of prime kote (already done) and Interlux polyeurathane. Best, Bob

Bob,
Stick with the drawing on this one. 3-1/2" is the correct measurement.
