Cheapeake Light Deck Carrying Handle Came Off
Carrying my 6-year old boat for about the 500th time and carrying handle came out--screws and all. (Luckily caught the boat so no damage.)
What's best way to reattacjreplace?
Fill the holes w/thickened epoxy and rescrew, seal those holes, and drill new ones, or use different handles altogether?
Thanks

Is there any way to reach in, maybe with something to extend your reach, and epoxy or glue in a fitted piece of wood as a backing board? Then fill in your holes and drill new holes.
Another option is if you have an end pour that you could drill through and put a loop through. My only end pour was just in the tip of the bow & I used a lot of silica &/or wood flour as filler. Then I drilled through that. In the stern I had fixed a scrap of wood during construction as a backing plate.
