I stitched together my chesapeake 17 and have small gaps between the bottom panels and side panels where they meet at the stern. I think this happened because I didn't align the scarf joints perfectly. Should I unstitch them and sand them down for a better fit, or just fill the gaps with epoxy? Thanks.

Sand or plane them to fit better. Any filled gaps will always be visible unless you paint the boat instead of varnishing. -Wes
