Re: Stirring Varnish?

My experience with Epifanes and Z Spar Flagship varnishes indicate that a good 24 hrs is needed before wet sanding in preparation for the next coat. The heat lamps will hejp. Once your last coat is on, you'll need several days - up to 2 weeks - before the varnish actually reaches maximum hardness. Many experienced folk on this forum sun cure their boats to speed up this process. I learned the hard way that you can mar your finish with ropes and straps even after 3 days of "curing".

Go slow if and wherever possible, is now my catch phrase.

This is the part of your project that EVERYONE sees - novice and expert alike.
