Well, no matter what I do, an SNG is gonna weigh more than my skin-on-frames do (my 16-foot SOF's, with 23 inch beam, weigh, I would guess, around 25 lbs).

The problem with the SOF's I've made is that I used aircraft Dacron to skin them (cheap and lightweight), and it doesn't stand up well to oyster shells, mangrove roots etc. So I'm making up an SNG for paddling closer to shore so I don't get any pokies and leakies. :>

And, I just wanted to give the SNG process a try. It's VERY different from SOF.
