ruined epoxy part II

Posted by Aaron J. on Oct 10, 2004

I'm starting another thread since the other is so far down the index now.

Anyway its now been about 5 days at a daytime temp of 70-80 degrees with nighttime lows in the 50's. The epoxy I mixed backwards (2 parts hardener 1 part epoxy) hasn't changed a bit and is still soft like warm starbust candy or chewing gum or something.

So now I'm looking for suggestions on what to do. I can only assume its got to be removed. I think I can probably take a plastic scraper or putty knife of something and get the bulk of it off but any tips you guys have would be great. There's layers of cured epoxy underneath that I don't want to hurt so I wouldn't think any kind of solvent would work.

Thoughts?
