Shake or stir Schooner varnish before use?
No mention of either on the can. Please advise if either is needed.
Thanks.

I will second John's advice--tiny bubbles in the wine a good thing--in the varnish not good--CZ

If you need to add thinners to the varnish, you'll want to stir slowly and smoothly. A few bubbles will form, and should work their way out as you tip the finish.

Neither. Shaking or stirring puts bubbles in the oily varnish that are hard to get rid of.
So, apply your varnish neither shaken nor stirred.
