Comfort seat for Wood Duck 10

Is the comfort seat worth the money?   I busted my butt building this boat and it deserves a good seat.

Also, how id the stock seat?  Comfortable?  It looks terrible.  Anyone do any mods like upholstering with marine vinyl to make it look better?

Thanks for any input.

RE: Comfort seat for Wood Duck 10

The CLC kit seat is surprisingly comfortable - I use one to pad my wooden desk chair - but too cheap looking to put into a nice boat. My favorite is the Grande seat that CLC also sells. Probably the most comfortable of all, though, is Newfound's seat. That's the one I bought to use in a Wood Duck, but is now going into the Ganymede that my daughter is building.

I'll vote for the Happy Bottom Seat that CLC sells. Very comfortable. At 6'3" and over 200 lbs. I use one in my Shearwater 17 and my 5'4" 105 lb. daughter uses one in her 14.5 Sherewater with great results in both. SEEYA Jack
