Am at the point of thinking of a car top carrier for my Cheasapeake 17LT.
I have looked at the brand names, Yakima and Thule. The Malone system looks good and is about 1/2 the price. I think I am going to try it. Does anyone have any knowledge of this system?

RE: OT BUT car top carrier
I have a Thule basic carrier with Malone Auto-loaders clamped on. The basic load bars carry my MC 16.5 (on its bottom) and my Shearwater 17 in the Malone racks. Seems to work well, but I am thinking about some extra padding on the Malone racks.

Hi,
Kathy D sent me a great URL as seen above. I am happy I have gone with the Malone system from the reviews I read there. More to follow after I use the system.
Thanks for the replies thus far.

I have never tried, it, but here's a site with reviews of Malone products (and other brands too) by other paddlers that might help?
