MC 16.5

Yesterday was the maiden voyage for our MC 16.5. Well, not really as we had taken her out Thanksgiving a year ago. Had to give the last coat of epoxy another 8 months or so to set up as it was measured by guesswork when the pumps started drawing air. Regretably lazy/over-confident of me.

So Sunday was the day that counted!

All and all a very enjoyable and rewarding project, even with all the interruptions that made it go on much longer than it should have. Wasted too much time standing back and admiring the lines and the wood. I must say I found the (hand) sanding to be very relaxing to the point I'm not sure I wanted it to end. But after multiple coats of varnish, I was ready.

And very rewarding to paddle.
