I hoping to finish my Shearwater sport in time for an upcoming trip and am considering the geartrac or something similar to assist with holding gear.  Any recommenmdations on attaching them or better options?  I was thinking drill fill drill the holes and then get the matching backing plate to go on the inside of the kayak.  Will that give enough structal support or do I need to add additional bacing inside?
