It would be interesting to hear anyone's experience with water makers? How reliable are these? What are issues with energy usage, space, and volume of water produced? Are they easy to maintain? Any ideas for what is avaialble. A wish list for what is desired to be available?

Katadyn makes the small ones hand or 12v depending on weather you want to pump or have a battery do it for you ! In any case clear clean input water is the key. Pre filter or strainers are more or less inportent depending on volume of product water desired .
