If I recall correctly, hydrotek is nowhere near as flexible as okoume, and on the WD12 you'll be needing that flexibility, especially when closing the ends.

Less importantly than being too stiff, it's a bit heavier than okoume, too.

Sounds like the stuff could have some applications for S and G boats, though--cases where its advantages over okoume outweigh its disadvantages.  Thanks for bringing it up.
