Call Linda Grez 425-985-6625. Much better solution. Electric outboard that weighs less than 15 lb with battery. I have one and the quality is beyond reproach.

   Any motor on the Wherry would be a complicated thing. You could not sit aft enough to handle the tiller or throttle on the motor. The  Wherry is designed for folks to sit at the rowing stations. To sit aft enough to handle a  motor one would need a passenger sitting almost in the bow. Very very awkward. consider picking another design.

Tiller extender + ballast in bow to balance motor will take care of that when solo.

When rowing with 2, the ballast may not be necessary.

CLC used to sell Eletric Paddle. It was a smaller model then. Don't know if they still do.
