Automotive masking tape

Can I use automotive masking tape for painting or vanishing, instead of fine line tape?

Hello, I used 3m blue painters tape (in other words, nothing fancy) and it did not "bleed" at all automotive finish products are superior to everything IMO so it will work perfect☺
