I'm finishing up the Eastport Parm and I'm at the point where I need to start putting varnish on the parts
How do you varnish something like the mast that needs varnish on all 4 sides? Seems there would always be at least 2 aread that would be sitting on saw horses that would either not get varnished, or the varnish would get messed up by the supports. Do you leave those areas open and finish them after the rest of the mast has been done and dried?

One thing you can do is drill holes for temporary screws at each end of the mast. Then you can support the mast by hanging it from these two screws. After the mast is varnished, fill the holes with epoxy.
