Carpentry Help Wanted in Baltimore

Hi, I'm looking for someone with boatbuilding experience to help me with a flooring and bunking project on my Tartan Ten here in Baltimore (Tidewater).  I'm willing to beg, barter, or buy your help.  Please email me at mcnamara0000 at yahoo dot com.

RE: Carpentry Help Wanted in Baltimore

Hey Mike,

I'm a bit far away to commute, but making a new sole is doable.  I use roofing paper to create a template to lay over the plywood.  You can buy teak and holly plywood or just grab some teak plywood and run it across the tablesaw in fixed increments and slide your own holly strips in, then epoxy and varnish over that.  The tricky part is when you have to align the holly strips with the adjacent panel.  Once again, templates.  I've done this on the dock, but it's best to be able to do it at home in the garage, but that sometimes leads to more trips out to the boat to measure.

BTW, I have a Tartan 37 in the USVI that I run daysail charters with.
