Epoxy sequence Shearwater Sport Hybrid

The hull is currently being FG'd.  The instructions say to sand the epoxy on the hull prior to building and attaching the deck.  Is there anything wrong with going ahead with building/attaching/FG'ing the deck, and then just sanding the whole exterior all at once?  Of course the area where the deck FG overlaps the hull FG would need to be sanded to get adhesion of the deck FG.  Other than that, it just seems to make better sense to wait and do the epoxy sanding all at once.  Enlighten me - thanks!

no problem with what you are suggesting.  there are several steps whose order can be adjusted vs how the manual approaches it with no adverse consequence.

My guess is that they have you sand the hull first since it is already in that position whereas you would have to flip the hull again later to sand it.  A non-issue for your kayak as flipping is very easy.  For the larger boats, flipping is more complicated so doing as much as possible on one side before you flip can make sense.
