Varnishing while raining?

I'm working on finishing up two Wood Duck 12's. I live in Texas. While the heat (100' deg) has been great in allowing me to finish up the epoxy coatings, I am now on to the varnishing stages. We finally had a reprieve with the weather and it's now raining and expected to continue for a few days. Highs in the 80's. My question.....is varnish suceptable too blushing in high humidity? Should I press on ?

RE: Varnishing while raining?

Maybe. See label directions for the particular brand of varnish.

I had a deadline. I moved the kayak from the shop to the attached garage, opened up the door to the laundry room and put a fan blowing the AC into the garage.  I got the temp down to 80 degrees with 60% humidity. It worked OK, except took longer to dry.

RE: Varnishing while raining?

I went ahead and varnished yesterday. The results are more than acceptable. A little bit to much dust but I can deal with that in the final coats. I'm using the schooner varnish and it works well and smells even better! The label doesnt address high humidity and the only time I've ever had a problem is when using laquers.
