I found a part in the kit  not described in the instructions. It was in the bag with the seat back parts. It is a small black plastic "dead eye bail" that looks like it could hold the black shock cord. Can anyone fill me in on the intent?

I applied the fourth coat of interior varnish today and expect to trial launch next weekend.
