FOOTBRACE VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT KIT
WHT IS THE VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT KIT REQUIRED WHEN USING THE CLC FOOTBRACE MOUNTING STUD KIT,WITH THE SMART TRACK OR FEATHERCRAFT RUDDER SYSTEMS?

I don't think the vertical adjustment kit is a required when using the footbrace mounting kit. I recently built a West River 18 with the Smart Track Rudder and Toe Pilot Footbraces. With a multi-chine hull the mounting studs would have been in a rather awkward position on the hull to allow the toe pilots to be in a comfortable paddling position. With the V.A.K. I was able to mount the studs at the typical 1-1/2-2" below the sheer clamp and lower the elevation of the footbrace with the V.A.K. If I had used standard sliding footbraces the V.A.K. would not have been necessary. Good Luck!
