Chesapeake triple sheer clamp length?
Can anyone tell me how long the sheer clamp is supposed to be on the Chesapeake triple? I didn't bring my manual to the workshop! Just too excited to start building I guess.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks. That's what I did. I just let them go a little long and then did a miter where the sheers bumped up against one another. Worked well.
Ps. man, this is a long kayak!

The manual doesn't specify. The plans show them stopping about 4-5 inches from the bow and stern. The side panels are shown to be about 21' 4-5". So if you make them 21' 6" they will be long enough to do full length, and trim/bevel to fit, or stop short like the plans. Good luck JRC
