Large doubl-ender in CLC shop?

I've noticed a large double-ender hull in the CLC shop on the web cam. Kind of reminds me of the Pocket Change design John was designing. Or a Bolger design? Just curious.

RE: Large doubl-ender in CLC shop?

That's a 20-foot daysailing sharpie I designed years ago for my colleagues Bill and Matt Cave.  They've been picking at it off and on since 2007, being no less busy than anyone else in the world...

While it looks to be a powerful and comfortable yawl and was cut out on our CNC machine (of course), there are no plans to make this one available as a CLC kit or plans-set.  With the sharply raked sides, it proved fairly difficult to build without a mold, and the large surface area and displacement would make it a very expensive kit, indeed.

Definitely not a Bolger sharpie, he shudders in his grave at the flare in the sides and lack of rocker :-)
