I just got done doing a float test on my jimmy skiff when I notice some flexing in the hulls bottom. Its not alot of flex but I just want to make sure all will be ok. I have thought about placing floor boards to strengthen the bottom. Thanks for the help.

RE: Is Flexing Normal
Our demo-model Jimmy Skiff, built around 1998 or so, always had a small amount of flex. In all those years it's never shown any adverse effects---no cracking or crazing or any issues.

Does your steel car flex while being driven down the road?
Flexing allows for release of some stress. In the water under the hull will add some resistence.
Do yuo remember the story of the Willow and the Oak. The Oak was very stiff while the Willow was flexible. Which one survived the strong winds?
