Removing deck from Shearwater sport hybrid.

Just seeing if anyone has any pointers on removing the deck from my Shearwater sport hybrid for sanding and fiberglassing of the inside. The manual just says to remove it and be careful because it is fragile. Was hoping for a bit more info than that. It's still stuck a little to some of the forms toward the center. I've freed it from the forms from the edges slipping in a long thin knife but can't reach all the way to the center. Any pointers to keep me from doing any damage?

#1 Tip:  It isn't nearly as fragile as it looks and feels. I've never broken one, Lo, these many Shearwater classes.

Just don't drop it.

All righty then. Removal will continue after lunch. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I've only done one of these, and it was a little nervy to pull off, but has a springy flex to it.

Got the deck off without a hitch. Doing a bunch of sanding.

I'm assuming that for the spaces or pothole that the glass won't sit right on you should fill them in with thickened epoxy?
