fitting the goose neck on a NE Dory
I am at the point of installing the sailing rigging and was curious about the fitting of the goose neck. It appears that the rod that goes into the boom iis just a press fit. Can this be right or am I missing a step??
Thanks for your help, Gary

Outhaul tension keeps the boom on the gooseneck. Not once in seven years have I had the boom come loose unintentionally.
