Coming back from the Ballard Locks in Seattle I see a card on the door of my truck. It's from the Editor of SeaKayaker Magazine who noticed Chesapeake 17 sitting on top of my truck and asked to do a photo shoot. Like any proud builder, I had a huge grin. We swapped emails and set a time. He "Chris" took photos and took her out for trials. It went well. Anyway in the December Issue is a picture and notes of the 17. The design which is the Kit from CLCBoats won Best Kit for a SeaKayak. I have built 4 of them, 3 Chesapeaks, 1 WestRiver all outstanding kayaks.

Anyway, KUDOS to Chesapeake Light Craft for Winning.
