November in Wisconsin, Is my rowing season over?
I think I know the answer to this, but I've been enjoying myself so much, I'm reluctant to accept the truth...
Since completing my Annapolis Tandem Wherry last April, I've been out rowing 3 to 4 times a week. It's now November and despite cold mornings in the low 20's it's still nice enough out to keep rowing. But I'm starting to get concerned...the past two nights have been hard freezes, and my wherry has been sitting (covered) outside on her little trailer. Days are up in the mid 40's nights are now in the low 20's. Is all this temperature expanding and contracting having a negative effect on my boat?
Is it time to pull her out for the season, and begin my maintenance schedule?

Wood has a low coefficient of thermal expansion. As long as you don't have water in any cracks you'll be fine.
