Chesapeake 17 finally finished.

I bought my kit way back in 2010, started the build and then had a mis-hap fishing and busted my ankle badly. That put me off my feet for a good few months and the build just lost all momentum.

I finally got my act together again and started on finishing the boat.

Here are few photo's of the build:

 

I decided to add a kevlar strip along the keel and then further covered that with glass tape so that it could be faired without fluffing. Maybe overkill on protection but my launches are all shingle or rock beaches.

Getting there, looks a bit more like a kayak now.

Space started to get a little cramped with the arrival of a sit on top fishing kayak as well.

Anyway after about 6 weeks of an hour here an hour there she is now finished and I love her.

Oh I think I must have uploaded photo's that are too large for the forum board, if you click on each one though I tink they open up properly. ?

Wow!   Very nice job!  The paint gives these boats such a different look.
