Skerry: how to level seats

Hi,

studying the plan I realised the front and back seat are not as leveled as the center seat is. Both seats are sloping from the stems to center of the boat. I am wondering if this is the correct way. I always thought the front and back seat are supposed to be horizontal when the center seat is horizontal.

If I put he seats in they do slope, but they also show large gaps on the sides. I need to bevel the edges and adjust the part where the stem fillets are. This certainly will change the slope of the seats. But where to stop?

Would b e great to get to know how you Skerry builders solved the issue.

Thanks!

Reinhard

RE: Skerry: how to level seats

Reinhard,  If the fore and aft seats are both level, water will pool on one or the other seat, depending on the fore and aft trim of the boat.  That is why they should slope toward the center of the boat.
