follow up to graphite bottom question
I'm finishing my PMD and leaving part of the bottom "bright" -- until after I bang it up and redo it.
I considering adding a graphite epoxy mix to the leading edge of the centerboard and rudder -- about 3/4" to 1" on each side. Comments?
Also, what do you do for UV protection on graphite bottom or in my case leading edge? Not too worried about leading edges, but when I redo bottom -- after "bright" is too much upkeep -- what UV protection do you use?

The black color will get hot in the sun though, and heat softens epoxy, so I would not store the boat bottom up where the sun can get at it.

The graphite itself provides all the UV protection that you need.
