eastport pram - sailboat davits attachment

I am going to be building an easport pram for a dinghy. What do most people do for the lift points, through bolt two eye into the stern and one into the bow? Or is it better to have eyes mounted somplace else in the boat?  Also, if you carry one on davits, what is the spacing between the tips of the davits, 7ft?

Thanks

George

RE: eastport pram - sailboat davits attachment

I don't have davits on my boat, but I think you'll have no issues working that out when the boat is completed. It balances very well just with lines through the hand-holds on the transoms, which are thick enough to accept any fitting you eventually choose. Boat is very light and easy to grip, but of course doesn;t have the capacity of an inflatable. I've just ordered the CLC rubrail bumper--turned out to be a necessity.
