Is the sanding with 320 grit in betwwen coats for leveling or adhesion purposes? Even with 320 it seems to remove quite a lot of the applied material.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll shift to 400 grit between the 2nd/3rd coats, and plan on a 4th coat to be complete.

For us mortals, the answer is both. For those others who paint with perfection in every stroke, it's for adhesion. Try not to be too agressive with the sanding. And power anything is generally a paint eater at this stage. Good luck with your other coats.
