Foam floation in Northeaster Dory
Is it necessary? Is the process and materials described in the how-to workbook that comes with the kit the way to go? Scott

I believe the concept is that the foam keeps the boat high enough to bail in the event of swamping and doesn't get in the way. I did the foam on mine last month and followed the guidlines in the plan; worked great.
