gaps - to fill or not - strip planked WD12
In the begining of the project, I steamed the long strips on the outside of the kayak. Lesson learned: strips shrink leaving gaps between planks when steamed. Gaps are about 1/16 to 1/8" wide and occur in 5 places near the stern of the boat.
Question for the forum: do I fill with (very) small filets of wood or fill with wood colored epoxy. Design calls for clean - Chriscraft like lines.
Thanks much, SMP

You can hide gaps better with the wood. It would be less noticeable than filler or epoxy.
