I'm toying with the idea of building a Ganymede from plans. A local lumber supplier stocks Joubert brand marine okoume plywood. It seems that CLC plans call for 3mm, 4mm, or 9mm ply, but when I asked the guy about sizes, the answer I got was kind of "subjective". Since Joubert is an English company, the sizes shoud be metric? I saw some pieces that were exactly 3mm, and others that were exactly 5mm.

RE: Plywood Sizes
From a Canadian / Metric perspective, I think it's the rest of the world that is waiting for USA to convert :) Even though all our vehicles and roads are metric, I still find I measure everything in Standard, and most building plans etc are in standard up here. I found it strange when I started seeing metric measurements on CLC plans from an American company.

I believe Joubert is France. I have not heard that they have converted to American yet. Still metric.
