I'm really interested in building a CLC Chester Yawl but have some concern in regards to capacity.  I'm 6'3"/240 and my wife is 5'11"/180.  The capacity for this boat is listed at 450 pounds.  At 420 pounds plus any bring-alongs we would be close to maxing out the capacity.  I plan on doing most of my rowing on Lake Norman, NC with occassional use at Breezy Point, MD.

Would the CY handle this and how would it perform maxed out?

I've seen several plans for 17' whitehalls with higher capacity but I really like the CNC'd kit idea ALOT.
