Best way to fix sanding through the glass into wood?
HI, building a wood duck 12, finished sanding the glass.epoxy bottom and have a few spots where I sanded through the glass to bare wood. I know I need to re glass and epoxy these areas but wonder if anyone has a specific technique for doing so. The areas are around the bow and stern and a not much more than 1-2" square. Thanks, Tom

I rough up the spot w/60 grit, then apply a small glass patch with an overlap onto the glassed area. When the epoxy sets up almost hard I scrape it down fair - use a Red Devil scraper =sharp, or my fav, a cabinet scraper. Touch up the raw glass edges with epoxy - when cured sand fair - wet/dry 220 good for that.
