Too much filet around coaming?

Hey all,

Happy Thanksgiving to all...

Got a question about too much filet on my boat's coaming.

If you look at my pic of my coaming, I think I didn't mix up the cab o sil and epoxy so it looks cloudy, and I think I put too much of a filet on the outside of the coaming.

What should I do? Sand the dried epoxy off the a more acceptable filet? Leave it the way it is?

I'm sure you guys will have some great suggestions from your vast experience with this type of thing...

Thanks in advance,

Chris F.

That doesn't look too bad as it is. Remember that when you put the lip on top, that joint will be mostly hidden from view, one of those thing "only you" will notice. When I did my Shearwater, I found that wood flour made a better color match. You could ssand it down smaller if you prefer, it looks plenty big enough.

Ok, I laminated the coaming lip this past Sunday, and hope the weather holds out to clean it up so I can glass it to the coaming on Saturday or Sunday!

Then I guess it will be time to cut the hatches...
