Removing a cemented-in minicell seat?
Has any one ever removed a minicell seat glued in place with contact cement? I want to remove the seat without destroying it and would like to reuse it if possible. I know that lacquer thinner will remove the cement but I think it will also melt the minicell. Would MEK work?

Hi Dusty I just removed a glued in seet. I used thin razer knife the extend kind that break away. I cut as close to the hull as I could then sanded away the leftovers. I did use a new seat blank from Redfish kayak that I shaped to fit my hull. There was some damage to the old seat but only about an 1/8th to a 1/16th this may not be what you want. I was concerned what solvent would do to the foam. I hope this is helpful.
