A great day! Perfect weather, more kayaks then you can shake a stick at. Eastern Mountain Sports was also having a demo day. I met Nick Shade , and John Harris , got many copmliments on my Shearwater. I had been considering a Night Heron for my next build, and I got to demo one. While its a great boat, I actually think my SW is faster! So, it'll be a Shearwater Hybrid next time.

There were also some exotic models on display, like the Aleutesque and the Mystery.  And of course, one beautiful never-wet "showpiece" under a tree. It would have been a great opportunity to test-paddle a CLC boat before building-I stongly reccomend these events.

I considered trying the "Mystery", but chickened out ;)
