Strips: to bend or not to bend that is the question?
Hey All,
I have successfully attached the shear strip and glued the next strip the length of my Night Heron, but I have a question about steam bending.
While I needed to steam bend the sheer strip and the next strip before glueing, if the next strips fit without breaking when I dry fit them, should I still steam them?
There is a little bit of force needed to hold them into place (dry fit), but not enough to cause any sound of cracking wood.
If I don't have to steam bend my strips, I really don't want to, and I don't want to use cheater strips yet.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

I think the question is whether the the strips will sit flush on the form w/o serious stress. If not, go for it. If so, steam it. I just wish I had known this a little sooner into my Auk build.
