Is there a DIY design for hanging a boat from, say, the side of a storage shed? I have one CLC boat and a Necky, both around 18'. would like to get them off the ground or saw horses!
I just took some 1x8 boards and cut j-cradles out of them then attached those to some 4x4 vertical posts that had a cross beam and a diagonal brace on the back and top. Put two short 45 degree angle "feet" off the bottom, and you've got a great rack for putting up against a wall or fence. If you need free standing, put feet on both sides (front and back) of the rack .
