fillet the scarf joints?
Submitted by PatrickAngus - Tue, 9/14/10 » 10:54 AM
I'm building my first Chesapeake 17LT. I was wondering if anyone has ever applied fillets and glass tape to the scarf joints in the hull panels. Is this overkill? Thanks!

Overkill. Properly done scarf joints are probably stronger than the surrounding wood.
