one more Kaholo joins the ranks of the homebuilt

The ranks of SUPers is now one bigger. I just finished a Kaholo based on a set of plans I bought from CLC at Canoecopia a few years back.  It floats and I can paddle it! Things are still right in the world :)  Build was enjoyable. stich and glue made it easy.  Wish I had taken more care with scarf joints, but other than that I don't really want any do-overs.

Once the snow flys, I'll bring it in and spend time getting a glossy finish, but for now, it is water time!

Jeff,

Looks nice! I like the recessed center handgrip. From your post on another site -- did you install a fin box and if so what did you use and where did you place it on the board?

Hoping to have a MN Kaholo ready for spring.

Tim
