Others here have suggested shaping a block of wood to fit "end pour space" without distorting hull. May be more work, yes, a chunk of otherwise waste wood is less expensive than equal volume of epoxy + filler/thickener. If you drill into this block for screws or a toggle, remember to drill-fill-drill as per building tips to keep wood and water separate lest the wood rot.
